We've all seen them. They're there in the grocery store. Perhaps they intimidate you. Who buys a single coconut? How does a person open one? rocks? power drill? chainsaw?
I'm sure we've all tried cracking one open on the beach during a vacation... 2 hours and several attempts to throw the coconut against a cliff, or slam it against sharp rocks later, and it's still very feasible to see only slight results for the effort. However, these "fresh young coconuts" are much less labor intensive and much more rewarding. I opened this one on my lunch break with just my hunting knife and couple of strategically-placed whacks. It makes for a fun activity, pop in a straw, and you have a great (and healthy) treat!
